GS201 Trips & Overnights
This course is for those volunteers who would like to take their girls on a short trip. This may be a walk, day trip outside of your Troop meeting or an overnight trip within the 48 contiguous United States.
If you are a Troop leader, New Leader Orientation and GS102 are prerequisites for this course. If you are a support volunteer acting as Trip Advisor, GS104 is a prerequisite.
(YOU MUST BE A REGISTERED ADULT GS MEMBER AND HAVE AN ELIGIBLE VOLUNTEER ROLE AND BACKGROUND CHECK BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THIS TRAINING.)
There are 9 lessons within this GS201 course. You will need to complete all 9 lessons before planning and carrying out any trip. For those trips that require Council approval, you will need to complete all nine lessons before you submit your Activity and/or Trip Permission Application for a Troop/Group (Form #2129).

Lesson 7: Conduct When Travelling (7 minutes)
Lesson 8: The Parent Meeting (8 minutes)
Lesson 9: Evaluating Your Trip (8 minutes)

GS201 Training does include audio, but if your computer does not have speakers, you can enable the Closed Captioning (subtitles) option. Some learners will enjoy having a pen and paper with them as they complete training to take notes. We will provide all information, however, after the session for your convenience.
